Some of the best pets come from adopting a homeless dog or cat from a shelter.
Thinking about adopting a new pet? Researching cat or dog breeds will help you decide the perfect fit for your lifestyle.
Our adoption fee is $100 (this includes age appropriate vaccinations). After the animal has been spayed or neutered, we will refund $75 back to you if done by the deadline set in the adoption contract OR we can offer you a $75 voucher for a spaying or neutering at Woodsdale Animal Hospital or Roxboro Animal Hospital.
Are you ready to adopt a new pet?
- Research dog and cat breeds to find the one that fits your lifestyle. Be sure to consider physical activity, older animal vs. a younger one, lots of energy vs. a more calm animal
- Be sure you can financially afford to feed and provide veterinary visits as needed to maintain your pet’s health
- Be sure you are able to make a long term commitment for the next 10 to 20 years
- If you currently have other pets, make sure the “new addition” will be a good fit
- Be sure no one in your family has pet related allergies
- Make sure you are aware of your local Animal Control Ordinances and State Laws
