Mayo Lake Fall Crappie Classic to be Held at Mayo Park

The Person County Recreation, Arts, and Parks Department will be sponsoring a Fall Crappie Tournament at Mayo Park on Mayo Lake. The tournament will be held Saturday, September 15, 2012. Boats will launch at 7:00 am and the weigh-in will be at 12 noon. Five fish per team will be weighed, and the greatest overall weight wins.

The entry fee for this event is $25.00 per team, and up to 5 participants are allowed per boat. This tournament will be based on an 80% payback.

To register early in person, teams must do so at the Mayo Park office at 1013 Neal’s Store Road during regular business hours. Pre-registration may also be done over the phone with a credit card, or at our online registration site.For registration by mail, send your registration form to: Person County Recreation, Arts, and Parks, Department, Mayo Park, 425 Long Avenue, Roxboro, NC, 27573. Please mail registration forms at least five days prior to Saturday, September 15, 2012 to assure your team’s launch time. No personal checks will be accepted after Wednesday, September 12, 2012

Teams may also register the day of the event at the Mayo Lake Boat Landing between 6:00am and 6:45 am. Entry fees will be accepted in cash only the day of the tournament.
