Summer Reading for Kids & Teens
Summer Reading for Adults
On June 1, the library kicks off its first annual Adult Summer Reading Challenge. This fun summer challenge gives adults a chance to enrich their summer reading, stay active in their community, and win prizes in the library’s end of summer drawing.
Adult readers can pick up a challenge card at the library. The card lists reading challenges such as “a book set in another country” and “a book recommended by a librarian,” as well as activity challenges such as “recommend a book” and “perform a random act of kindness.”
For every four challenges completed, participants will be entered in a drawing. Prizes include a $60 Walmart gift certificate, $10 gift certificates to the Bakery at Hall’s Way, and free books and library swag.
Readers can pick up a challenge card starting June 1. Cards should be returned by August 15 for a chance to win. Winners will be announced no later than August 31, 2018.
