Hurricane Florence is expected to hit the Carolinas and Person County may be severely impacted.
Person County Animal Services would like the public to be aware that should the shelters within the county open up and there is a need to evacuate, we will open the animal shelter to accept household pets that have nowhere to go. Only the pet’s medications/prescription food will be necessary to bring with the pet.
Please remember to move any outdoor pets to higher grounds in the event of flooding.
