Welcome to the Person County Tax Office Inquiry.
This access is used to look up information on collections, appraisal and abstract data. The information is updated daily and should provide an easy method to gather data that before required a phone call or a visit to the tax office.
You will be allowed 10 minutes of inactivity before you will be logged out. This is to prevent someone from logging in and remaining logged in all day. We have a limited number of accesses available, and want to be sure that access is available to all when needed.
In order to access the system, you will need an internet connection and Internet Explorer. The website is http://tax.personcounty.net. The first time you visit the site, software will automatically download for you. Let the software install as needed.
The user name is: PUBLIC
The password is: PUBLIC
Notice that everything is required in uppercase.

You can choose the program that you want by selecting the corresponding number.
To end the program and get back to the menu, type <ctrl> Z.
To logout, type 9.
To search by name, enter LAST NAME FIRST NAME, example DOE JOHN.
To search by account number, enter the number.
To search by record number, enter . and then the number.
To search by map number, enter .M lot space parcel, example .M A58 125.
If you get lost, you can always type <ctrl>Z to go back to the menu.
It is best to search by map number. This will give the total amount owed for a property. Record number, for example, will only show one bill owed, and not all the bills owed.
Printing can be done by using the print screen icon.
